The urban heat island effect (UHI) causes serious harm to human health and beyond and is unevenly distributed across American cities. Using Spatial Autoregressive (SAR) models and Conditional Autoregressive (CAR) models, this report seeks to provide a rigorous spatial analysis of these trends in Minneapolis-St. Paul and Phoenix and to compare model similarity and performance between these two cities.
